Job summary

New Flyer, North America’s heavy-duty transit bus leader, seeks a Materials Planner to partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Supply Chain. You will drive inventory accuracy, support production changes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO and Lean principles.

You will manage MRB, release planned orders, monitor capacity, and coordinate kitting while maintaining data integrity and achieving budgeted goals.

Qualifications

• APICS certification or actively pursuing APICS certification.
• 3-5 years manufacturing planning experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP and inventory control.
• Knowledge of Lean/5S and ISO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning for materials department.
• Coordinate processing of materials to POU location by requirement date.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and achieve inventory goals.
• Manage MRB processes and track materials measurements.
• Drive reduction of obsolete inventory and schedule releases.
• Coordinate kitting from suppliers; update daily reports.
• Collaborate with capacity planning to balance loads.
• Prepare and publish past-due KPI measurements.
• Assist in cross-training and policy deployment.
• Ensure ISO compliance and continuous improvement.
