Job summary

System One in Sunnyvale, California seeks a Materials Planner to support material planning, MRPs, and ECO cutovers, coordinating supply and demand across manufacturing to ensure material availability.

The role requires extensive experience with MRP and SAP, strong forecasting and analytics, and a four-year degree; the position is a 12-month contract with hybrid work (3 days onsite) and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a progressive manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP and SAP software.
• Understanding of change control processes.
• Strong forecasting and analytics skills.
• Four-year degree preferred in Business Management, Logistics, or Engineering; APICS and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ECO releases, material planning, and cutovers to support production schedules.
• Audit and maintain Material Master, yield, scrap, and SAP PPDS/MDG configuration through ERP change processes.
• Monitor MRP stability, perform weekly MRP reviews, allocate shared components, and run material availability simulations.
• Coordinate material planning for new materials, part revisions, SIOP scenarios, and APM management across business units.
• Identify root causes affecting inventory health and implement corrective actions for material planning exceptions.

Overview

Support material planning, MRP stability, and ECO cutovers by coordinating supply, demand, and material master data across manufacturing operations while driving inventory accuracy, planning alignment, and material availability.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain Material Master, yield, scrap, and SAP PPDS/MDG configuration through ERP change processes.
