  • 4+ years of inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience designing, implementing lean warehouse and replenishment systems (kanban).
  • Hands-on leader directing daily warehouse and material flow activities with accountability.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory planning (SAP, Oracle, Infor Syteline preferred).
  • Certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are a plus.

  • Support production scheduling by monitoring material availability and tracking progress.
  • Coordinate with Quality Manager to monitor supplier scorecard performance and vendor returns.
  • Ensure inventory counts accuracy via an inventory control system and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with operations on cross-functional decisions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment aligning with EH&S regulations.

Materials Manager (Warehouse & Logistics)

IEM is currently seeking a Materials Manager, specializing in warehouse and logistics, for our Jacksonville, FL location. This role will report into the Supply Chain Manager . This full‑time position is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations and the flow of materials, from receipt of components through production support to final product shipment. The role ensures inventory accuracy, efficient material handling, and on‑time delivery to support production and customer commitments.


Please note: This position requires 100% in‑office presence in our Jacksonville offices and does not offer remote work.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Maintain control and accuracy over all inventories (raw material, WIP, finished goods), including material transactions, warehouse operations, and receiving activities.

  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure all components and materials are delivered to support the production process.

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, storage, and delivery to point of use to ensure efficient and accurate material flow.

  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related toinventory control, material flow, and warehouse processes.

  • Support production scheduling activities by monitoring material availability, tracking production progress, and identifying potential constraints.

  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager and Quality Manager to implement, and manage systems to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.

  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager and Quality Manager to resolve vendor return material authorizations in a manner which supports the production schedule.

  • Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against future inconsistencies.

  • Participate as a member of the operations team in making cross‑functional operational decisions.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.

  • The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or a related discipline.

  • 4+ years’ experience ininventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and managing lean warehouse and material replenishment systems (i.e., kanban setups)

  • Proven experience as a hands‑on leader who can effectively direct daily warehouse and material flow activities while building team engagement and accountability.

  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and materials planning (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor Syteline experience is a huge plus)

  • Certifications optional but beneficial: APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification


REQUIRED SKILLS:



  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes.

  • Ability to work in and with an ERP/MRP system

  • Strong analytical skills forinventory management, material tracking, and operational performance

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and timelines

  • Demonstrated problem solving, quantitative analysis, and analytical abilities

  • Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate business results and department needs

  • Strong leader with a proactive, positive attitude, and a strong sense of self‑motivations, accountability, and responsibility

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
