Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Materials Manager within the Fields & Rotors COE to lead the materials organization, optimize wing-to-wing processes, and partner with operations to ensure on-time delivery while reducing inventory.

You will oversee materials planning, procurement, production control and logistics, implement LEAN practices, monitor KPIs, and drive SIOP/SOE alignment using ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical field from an accredited university with 5+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma/ GED with 9+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of materials personnel in materials planning, procurement requirements, production control and inventory control
  • Ensure standard materials processes and KPIs are used to optimize delivery and minimize inventory cost
  • Implement LEAN material practices and standards
  • Support SIOP & SOE processes: input on procurement timing, release requirements, capacity and lead-times
  • Lead capacity requirements planning by gathering data and updating planning tools
  • Synchronize master and production schedules using ERP (PMx) and train users
  • Monitor and report COE materials KPIs: on time to promise/need, system health, inventory turns
  • Oversee logistics activities: incoming receipts, stock days, cycle counts, shortages
  • Communicate business goals and drive problem solving within the team

Job Description Summary

The Fields & Rotors COE materials manager will be responsible for leading the materials organization focused on the execution of wing-to-wing materials processes and continuous improvement. This role will partner closely with operations to execute on-time delivery objectives while implementing materials strategies to reduce inventory and improve material flow.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of materials personnel in materials planning, procurement requirements, production control and inventory control, demonstrating strong integration with manufacturing operations teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensures that standard materials processes and standard KPIs are used to provide the best delivery with the lowest inventory cost for the assigned area
  • Implement LEAN material practices and standards
  • Support the SIOP & S&OE processes: contribute to material procurement timing, order release requirements, available capacity, & lead-times
  • Lead capacity requirements planning (CRP) processes by gathering & loading information into planning tools, analyzing data, and providing regular updates
  • Ensure that the master schedule and production schedules are synchronized using ERP (PMx) and other tools. Ensure that training and skills necessary to use planning tools are provided and tools are monitored for appropriate use.
  • Report and monitor COE materials-related KPIs: on time to promise, on time to need, system health & usage, master data adherence, inventory balance, and inventory turns.
  • Lead and monitor all the logistics activities such as incoming receipts, days to stock, inventory accuracy (cycle counts), and shortages
  • Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Uses experience and expertise to solve problems.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
