Job summary

NmbleINC in Valdosta, GA is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee planning, procurement, inventory control, and material movement across our manufacturing operations. You will ensure material availability to support production schedules, optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement through ERP/MRP systems and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain management, or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, MRP/ERP systems, and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage material planning, inventory control, receiving, warehousing, and material movement activities.
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies that support production requirements while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production, operations, and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Analyze material requirements and production forecasts to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory turns, material flow, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, service levels, and material availability.
  • Manage and develop materials management personnel through effective leadership, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Support ERP/MRP system utilization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
