Job Purpose
The purpose of the position is to manage inventory cycle and inventory accuracy, ensuring contract and material compliance for suppliers and customers.

Key Job Elements
- Orders material for production lines in assigned building locations and cribs. Reviews planned orders and current inventories and issues purchase orders.
- Provides customer service for Caterpillar facilities and MRC collaborations; meets/emails daily with customers to ensure customer orders are satisfactory.
- Manages Inventory Cycle Count Program for Caterpillar; prints monthly cycle counts with counts performed by direct reports.
- Runs reports to analyze EDI demand forecasting for 12-month production; compares LN reports to MRC to ensure alignment.
- Works with Engineering on packaging, pulls prints, and on resource projects.
- Serves as backup for indirect purchases; places orders for shop floor needs.
- Works with Sales to help with Sales Contracts and fix customer grief in LN.
- Manages inventory counts and reports on inventory.
- Orders material for production lines.
- Reviews and manages planned orders and current inventory levels.
- Issues purchase orders as needed.
- Supervises, evaluates, and supports work of direct reports.
- Maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensures company standards and practices in regard to inventory are followed.
- Performs physical inventories.
- Acts as customer service POC for multiple accounts.
- May assist with supplier and customer negotiations.
Education / Training
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control and/or management.
- 3+ years’ experience managing the work of others.
Qualifications And Experience
- Experience forecasting and budgeting.
- Experience and knowledge of purchasing process.
- Experience using SAP or other related software.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office skills required.
