Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 6+ years in materials management, materials planning, warehousing, inventory control, Spare Parts sales administration or related operational roles, including 1 year managing professional staff.
• Aviation or manufacturing sector experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

• Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to business line leaders, ensuring materials operations are aligned with organizational objectives and customer expectations.
• Operational Leadership: Oversee and optimize the flow of materials, inventory and tools to support production, maintenance and aftermarket activities.

• Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Project & Change Management: Drive large-scale cross-functional initiatives supporting business transformation and manage multiple projects.
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure efficiency, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with teams, stakeholders and leadership; provide timely updates on performance and status.
• Problem Solving & Analytics: Apply analytical skills to identify opportunities and enable data-driven decisions.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA, import/export, hazmat).

The position is part of our enterprise materials organization which focuses on materials planning support across operations, customer support, and completions (interior of aircraft build). The Materials Manager will supervise directly several Materials Supervisors and indirectly Associate Material Analysts to Senior Materials Analysts.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years experience in materials management, materials planning, warehousing, inventory control, Spare Parts sales administration or related operational roles to include 1 year experience managing professional level employees or program/process management; aviation or manufacturing sector experience strongly preferred.. Valid Driver’s License required.Position Purpose:The Materials Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence across one or several business lines, including Aircraft Production, Aircraft Completion, Aircraft Maintenance, Components Repair and Overhaul, and Spare Parts Sales & Distribution. This role is pivotal in supporting key operational activities such as warehousing and distribution, production control, requirements planning, materials expediting, spare parts sales, and tool room operations. The Materials Manager will also play a critical role in large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that support business transformation. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing an environment of collaboration, creating a culture of development where employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, & guiding team to high-quality performance.

• Project & Change Management: Drive and participate in large-scale, cross-functional initiatives supporting business transformation. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, delivering results in dynamic environments .
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with regulatory requirements .
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate clearly and proactively with teams, stakeholders and executive leadership. Provide timely updates on operational performance, project status, and strategic initiatives .
• Problem Solving & Analytics: Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, resolve challenges and support data-driven decision making .
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA, import/export, hazmat, etc.) .
