Job summary

Egis is seeking a Materials Management Coordinator for our Lisle, IL project to oversee materials QA testing, field sampling, and review of contractor submittals. You will coordinate with Resident Engineer and testing technicians on site.

The role requires a BS in Civil or Materials Engineering, valid driver’s license, and experience with materials inspection and documentation. IDOT training and PE license are preferred, with onsite schedule in Lisle, IL.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Materials Engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• IDOT PCC & HMA Level I, II, & III training preferred.
• IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities training required or able to be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities of Contractors on the construction site within a discipline or multiple disciplines based on experience.
• Assist the Resident Engineer or Construction Manager in the coordination of activities.
• Coordinate materials QA testing with RE and materials testing technicians/laboratory
• Oversee QA field testing of materials and materials sampling
• Review contractor materials submittals and evidence of inspection. Provide recommendations to RE or client/owner on acceptability of submittals
• Report materials inspection and testing according to the clients requirements
• Maintain project files related to materials inspection and testing.
• Provide daily inspection of construction activities
• Tests and/or samples materials
• On larger projects, may lead a group in a specific project task.
• Oversee materials coordination and documentation on multiple projects.
• Works independently at times and may supervise observation/inspection personnel as needed.
• Works under the supervision of a licensed Resident Engineer, Principal or Project Manager.
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Compensation & Pay Transparency

Anticipated Base Salary Range: $45.80 - $68.00 per hour
