Job summary

DeSHAZO builds custom material handling and automation equipment. The Materials Associate ensures parts flow from receiving to storage, and coordinates with shop, vendors, and customers. The role blends material handling, driving, and organization in a hands-on setting.

Typical duties include relocating materials, stocking, and operating forklifts, with occasional offsite runs to vendors or customers. Strong attention to detail and safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Experience driving a full-size truck and towing a trailer preferred.
• Forklift experience (5,000–10,000 lb) preferred.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company systems.
• Reliable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Move and relocate incoming material to storage locations by project requirements.
• Keep receiving and staging areas clear for freight access.
• Own and organize the material storage system, labeling locations for new projects.
• Kit completed parts for project locations as they leave the shop floor.
• Stage parts for outside processing vendors and for shipment.
• Operate forklifts up to 10,000 lb to move material and equipment.
• Adhere to safety rules and keep work areas clean.
