Job summary

Gentex Corporation in North Carolina is seeking a Material Handler to move material in and out of the warehouse safely and efficiently, using forklifts and the Gentex inventory and warehouse control system.

You will pick and deliver material, perform receiving and shipping, complete inventory transactions, and assist teammates to meet production and safety goals while maintaining high accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of manufacturing or material handling experience.
• Ability to obtain certification and operate material handling equipment including industrial lift trucks.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Move material in and out of the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Pick and deliver material to manufacturing using the warehouse system.
• Perform receiving and shipping functions using the warehouse system.
• Complete inventory transactions including receipts, issues, put-aways, and shipments.
• Operate material handling equipment as required to load/unload and move material.
• Maintain area housekeeping and assist team members to meet goals.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist in reconciliation of variances.
