Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking a Materials Handler Lead in Tempe to supervise daily recycling routes, coordinate hauling services, and ensure yard and equipment upkeep on campus. You will guide a team of Material Handlers and respond to inquiries about proper disposal to advance ASU's zero waste goals.

The role requires physical outdoor work, driving responsibilities, and operation of forklifts and other material handling gear. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and two-years (2) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
• Experience in recycling/solid waste collection programs is preferred.
• Experience with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook) and basic equipment operation.

The Material Handler Lead is expected to provide guidance, information, and instruction to the team of Material Handlers.
