Job summary

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking a Materials Handler to support the hospital’s store rooms for medical supplies and equipment. You will ensure compliance with policies and internal controls to safeguard assets and provide reliable service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities include receiving shipments, maintaining stock, processing outbound mail, and assisting with inventory counts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Training on inventory and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Valid State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
• Excellent customer service and safety awareness.
• Successful background and reference checks required.
• Fingerprint clearance requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Receives, unloads, and processes shipments; organizes items based on receiving documents.
• Routes medical supplies to units; directs items to appropriate shipping/packing activities.
• Reports overages, shortages, or damaged shipments to supervisor; stores equipment securely.
• Ensures MSDS compliance and safe handling of materials.
• Selects items for shipment; verifies shipping details and loads containers correctly.
• Maintains stock levels, inventory, and re-orders inventory items.
• Participates in department inventory counts to maintain correct stock.
• Keeps store rooms secure, clean, organized, and stocked.
• Processes outgoing official mail daily; sorts, meters, and delivers.
• Acts as incidental Motor Vehicle Operator for transporting blood/lab specimens; rotates on-call duties.
• Participates in Fire Safety and OSHA trainings; adheres to safety standards.
• Available for on-call status with a 15-minute response time.
• Wears proper PPE at all times while on duty.
• Completes donning/doffing tasks safely and follows decontamination processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
