Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Material Handler to manage the handling and placement of materials across the home building facility. The role involves forklift operation, delivering materials to the plant, receiving and inspecting vendor deliveries, and organizing stock for timely use by each department.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, warehouse experience preferred, and a safety‑minded attitude. Training and certification may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or could be substituted with relevant experience.
• Forklift operation experience preferred; certification is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong communication within a team.
• Previous construction or warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift and provide materials to plant and departments.
• Receive materials, check deliveries against packing slips, and store properly.
• Rotate materials by date and ensure timely delivery to each area.
• Ensure quality of received materials and assist with other duties as assigned.
• Maintain safe work practices and follow PPE rules.
