Job summary

Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee is hiring a Material Handler to support receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipping of materials. You will operate various material handling equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, and collaborate with internal teams to meet production needs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of relevant experience or a high school diploma, with a path to forklift certification. Expect a safety-first culture and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Ability to become forklift certified to receive and deliver parts safely and efficiently.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing environment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Locate and pull materials/supplies as listed on production/sales orders and stock production areas to maintain inventory levels.
• Operate material handling equipment (stand-up, sit-down, combi, lancer, tugger) as assigned.
• Lift up to 35 pounds safely and sometimes handle heavier items with assistance.
• Learn to operate a truck for transporting parts around the facility.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace following 6S and safety procedures.
• Perform cycle counts and update the JDE ERP system.
• Rectify inventory discrepancies and monitor KANBAN cards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal customers to ensure smooth operations.
