Job summary

Mars is seeking a Materials Handler to support the shipping department. Responsibilities include loading trucks, operating a forklift (expert level), and managing hold and released products with strict food safety adherence.

The role requires 2+ years of manufacturing experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with WMS. Candidates should be able to lift 60 pounds and work with the FIFO inventory system while ensuring quality and safety standards.

  • Operate forklift and manage loading of trucks, live loads, and staged loads.
  • Direct ship responsibility including disposition of hold products and released products.
  • Support Warehouse Area Lead with shipping department activities.
  • Maintain FIFO program for materials management.
  • Cross training with other Logistic Material Handler positions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

Job description

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Materials Handler is to perform all functions associated with the shipping department, including but not limited to:

  • Loading trucks, live loads, and staged loads
  • Ability to operate a forklift – (Expert Level)
  • Operation of site yard dog
  • Direct ship responsibility including proper disposition of hold products, food safety hold products and released products
  • WMS, BOL responsibility / accountability
  • Support Warehouse Area Lead with all activities associated with shipping department
Principal Accountabilities
  • Accurately record all transactions on the WMS inventory system
  • Communicate with line and logistics operators to ensure materials are replenished in a timely manner
  • Manage FIFO program regarding materials management
  • Cross training will be required with other Logistic Material Handler positions.
  • This position and all site associates are responsible for quality and food safety.
