Job summary

PDM is seeking an inventory associate in Carlisle, Iowa to maintain inventory, locate materials for production orders, and prepare finished stock for shipment. This role ensures accurate stock records and smooth material flow on the shop floor.

You'll work outdoors year-round as needed, handle lifting up to 75 lbs, and must have a High school diploma or GED along with an OSHA forklift operation certificate and at least one year of inventory experience. PDM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
• Maintains in-process inventory
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Participates in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.

Qualifications

Education: Current and valid OSHA forklift operation certificate High school diploma/GED required

Knowledge and Skills: Strong attention to detail

Previous Experience: 1+ years’ inventory management experience

Physical: Applicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time, lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder and be able to work long hours. This position works outdoors year-round and therefore subject to all weather conditions sometimes to include extreme cold and heat.
