Job summary

Axiom in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to maintain flow of materials in a manufacturing setting. You will work under general supervision, operate material handling equipment, and ensure accurate counts and packaging of parts in a lean, 5S environment.

Responsibilities include pulling materials via ERP, auditing inventory, recording transactions, cycle counting, and contributing to continuous improvement and month-end reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Education, or equivalent with some manufacturing industry training.
• Excellent manual dexterity and vision; able to stand and walk for eight hours.
• Learn to identify component types and perform repetitive detailed work with small tools.
• Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S awareness.
• Read and understand English documentation for circuit board assembly products.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to guidelines.
• Operate material handling equipment; work with Axiom MRP and ERP pick lists.
• Ensure correct counts, packaging of parts, and proper material storage procedures.
• Pull materials using ERP-generated picks; audit consignment inventory.
• Record transactions in Axiom systems and maintain related paperwork.
• Cycle counting, requisitions, shortages, and dispositioned materials.
• Process parts through baking ovens and investigate adjustments.
• Maintain 5S, continuous improvement, and month-end reporting.
