Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of material science fundamentals.
• Ability to use statistical tools and techniques for analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new materials, maintain material data portfolio, and consult on material selection.
• Translate product-level requirements into material and process specifications, validating feasibility cross-functionally.
• Design and execute material performance studies, including test methods, DOE plans, and statistical analysis.
• Create material specifications and partner with suppliers and manufacturing engineers to implement IQC/OQC processes.
• Conduct characterization testing and failure analysis to define specifications and root-cause issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, research groups, and partner industries to identify emerging materials and technologies.
