Job summary

Nudge is seeking a Materials Engineer to design materials and fabrication methods for our in-house ultrasound array fabrication, bridging hardware, software and research.

You will need at least 3 years of industry experience, a strong foundation in materials science, and the ability to work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, and ultrasound teams to advance a cutting-edge brain-imaging platform.

Responsibilities

• Design high efficiency transmission elements for skull transmission and high bandwidth elements for ultrasound imaging and cavitation detection.
• Develop methods for measurement of electrical, acoustic, and thermal properties of the elements.
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, and ultrasound engineers.

• Design materials and fabrication methods for in-house ultrasound array fabrication

• Design high efficiency elements for transmission through the skull and high bandwidth elements for ultrasound imaging and cavitation detection

• Develop methods for measurement of electrical, acoustic, and thermal properties of the elements

• Work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, and ultrasound engineers

About you

We are looking for engineers with at least 3 years of industry experience. Regardless of career level, you should have:

• Strong engineering / physics first principles

• Strong fundamentals in materials science

• A degree in Material, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline

• A history of exceptional technical contribution
