Job summary

Abzena is seeking a Materials Control Coordinator II in Bristol Township, PA to manage receiving, shipping, stocking and material flow in a cGMP environment. You will contribute to timely material availability for manufacturing and lab operations across QA/QC and Purchasing teams.

Responsibilities include ERP data entry, material verification against specs, cycle counts, and maintaining receiving and inventory documentation in line with Abzena standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in materials management.
  • 2+ years’ experience in GMP environments.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs and other quality process documentation in English.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with an ERP system and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and biologics environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support and work within the Quality Management System.
  • Perform timely data entry in ERP for material transactions.
  • Receive incoming materials and verify against specs and PO.
  • Maintain receiving docs to internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, QA/QC, and Accounts Payable on issues.
  • Stock, counts, and cycle counts; 6S workplace organization.
  • Package and ship materials and samples as needed.
  • Assist client audits and manage supplier relationships.

The Materials Control Coordinator II is responsible for receiving, shipping, stocking and distributing material, equipment, and products, documenting daily warehouse operations and material flow in a cGMP environment.


Responsibilities


  • Support and work within the Quality Management System.

  • Comply withall documentation needs,practicesand Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Performtimelyandaccuratedata entry in Enterprise Resource System (ERP) for material transactions.

  • Perform receipt of incoming materials.

  • Check materials received against specifications, vendor shippingdocumentsand purchase orders for accuracy.

  • Accuratelymaintainall receiving documentation tocomply withinternal procedures and or SOPs.

  • Follow best practices related to the systems andprocessthat support material inventory,purchasing, and materialcontrol.Provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Work with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to resolve any supplier invoice issues or discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel, ensuringtimelytestingandrelease of materials.

  • Conduct cycle counts and wall-to-wall counts as needed.

  • Pick and stage materials for manufacturing and laboratory support.

  • Supportaccurateclient billing and raw material traceability throughtimelyprocessing of return to stock items.

  • Inspect stock for damage/product integrity

  • Maintain organization of work areas through 6S (sort, straighten, standardize, shine, sustain, safety).

  • Interact with Manufacturing and laboratory departments to reconcile inventoryvariances.

  • Perform packaging and shipping of materials and samples to customers and/or testing facilities. Monitor shipments andupdate ofany potential delays.

  • Provide backup support to leadership for client audits.

  • Manage effective relationships with suppliers as well as internal and external clients.

  • Manage multiple changing priorities.

  • Operate heavy equipment and vehicles to move materials

  • Operate to the highest ethical and moral standards.

  • Comply withAbzena's policies and procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors,colleaguesand staff.

  • Participate effectively as a team player in all aspects of Abzena's business.

  • Adhere to quality standards set by regulations and Abzena policies, procedures, andmission.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Minimum high school diploma, orequivalent.

  • 2+ years’ experience in materials management.

  • 2+ years of experience with GMP environments

  • Ability to read and understand and carry out Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and other Quality Process Documentation in English.

  • Proven ability to provide excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the manufacturing and biologicenvironment preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoftoffice.

  • Working knowledge oftheERP system.


Physical Requirementsa


  • Ability to stand for 1-2 hours at a time, sit for 2 to 3 hours at a time.

  • Frequently lift and or move objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Stand/walk duringentirelength of shift.

  • Use arms,handsand fingers to handle,feelor reach.

  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Visual abilitiesincludingnear and far sight, color, peripheral vision,depthand ability to focus.
