Job summary

Valdese Weavers LLC in Valdese, NC, is seeking a production operator to take and route yarn to looms, process fill calls, and log transactions in SAP according to ISO 9001 standards. You will monitor workloads, verify weights and materials, and keep the work area clean.

This role requires basic reading, writing and math skills, color discernment, and a valid PIT equipment license. Overtime is possible; 2nd and 3rd shifts pay a $1.00 premium and attendance bonuses are offered for perfect

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Must pass color blindness test.
• Must have a license to operate PIT equipment (e.g., cherry picker).
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lift, push, pull, bend).

Responsibilities

• View computer monitor for more fill calls and assist as needed.
• Prioritize fill calls and transport to the Weaveroom.
• Check to ensure correct lbs. are taken out.
• Record fill tickets in SAP according to ISO work instructions.
• Keep the work area clean and floor swept.
• Perform overtime and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Follow safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards.
• Participate in 5S activities as required.

As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.Job Summary: Take additional yarn to looms as needed by more fill calls from Weaveroom.Tools and Equipment used: Buggy, yarn, more fill tickets, penEssential Functions: Perform the following duties according to IS0 9001 work instructions and standards:View computer monitor for more fill calls for assistance. Prioritize them when taking them out to the Weaveroom.Check to ensure correct lbs. are taken out.Make sure proper transactions are done in SAP as per ISO Work Instructions.Record more filling call/ticket filler in the computer.Keep the computer work area clean and floor swept.Perform other duties when needed or assigned by Supervisor.Perform other duties as assigned.Work scheduled overtime.Safety:Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.Ear protection required in Weave Room at all times and safety belt/harness required when using motorized equipment.Maintain 5 S standards as described.Perform other duties when needed or assigned by Supervisor.
