Job summary

BorgWarner in Seneca, SC is seeking a PC&L Associate to load and unload materials, operate forklifts, and manage material flow on production lines. You will enter transactions into SAP and follow strict safety and FIFO protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Required is a High School diploma or GED, 3 months of forklift experience, and forklift certification preferred. Proficiency with SAP/ERP and lean manufacturing exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials to/from production lines and storage areas.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and stand-up lifts and related equipment.
• Enter material transactions into SAP accurately.
• Read BOMs, pull sheets, and deliver materials as required.
• Support 5S / housekeeping activities and safety procedures.
• Adhere to FIFO standards and Dock Safety Protocols.
• Wear PPE and follow safety protocols.

Job description

The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. The operator is responsible for following the job responsibilities within the plant and/or warehouse while operating in a fast-paced environment:

• Loads product, unloads product, receives product, ship’s product, moves materials at elevated heights, and issues material using system transactions.

Standard Duties

• PC&L Associate will be expected to safely perform all tasks assigned by Leadership including all positions within the Physical Logistics department.
• Safely operates all equipment to which the individual is certified (ex):
  • Sit-down Forklifts
  • Stand Up Lifts (Both Reach and Pacer)
  • Tuggers
  • Electric Jacks
• Reads and understands work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements.
• Manually loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required (see physical requirements).
• Accurately and timely enters materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
• Reads electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations.
• Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
• Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
• Loads/Unloads materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.
• Meet physical logistics KPI’s, Associate Engagement and Teamwork
• Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
• Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.

Safety, Health and Physical Requirements

• Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand -up lifts.
• Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively.
• Stepping up and down off lift; walking long distances over extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast -paced environment.
• Working in a non-climate -controlled environment.
• Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
