Job summary

Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System is seeking a Materials Associate to support supply distribution with the Manager of Materials Distribution. You will use the MMIS to perform tasks and ensure timely, high-quality supply delivery to hospital departments.

Responsibilities include cart replenishment, stock issue entry, operating room supply handling, and training peers on materials management practices; strong accuracy and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Count and replenish par level supply carts using handheld computers and the MMIS.
  • Enter stock issues and direct patient charges into the MMIS.
  • Provide stock labeling assistance as directed.
  • Restock operating rooms and deliver case supplies to the O/R.
  • Deliver orders and shipments to end user departments as assigned.
  • Reconcile patient charges and issues using the MMIS.
  • Aid in cycle count and physical inventory processes as directed.
  • Perform equipment-tracking functions using equipment management software.
  • Count and replenish stock on code carts and isolation carts.
  • Provide training to peer staff on par management and handheld technologies.
