Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. is seeking a Material Stocker to handle and transfer materials within the plant, ensuring accurate pallet paperwork and proper stock locations. The role requires familiarity with the plant layout and safe pallet jack operation.

Responsibilities include receiving materials, logging receipts, and maintaining organization and cleanliness in a busy manufacturing environment. High school diploma or GED is required; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances.
• Ability to identify and process damaged or flawed material in lieu of stocking it.
• Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure.

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D.

Required Physical Ability

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb

Working Conditions

• Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
• Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses and gloves
• The noise level is usually moderate to high
• Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
