Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Associate in the United States. You will safely handle materials, operate order pickers and forklifts, and use handheld scanners to process receiving and orders. We value safety, teamwork, adaptability, and accuracy in every shift.

Starting wage is $20.96/hour plus a $1/hour shift differential for third shift, with overtime, benefits from day one, and 401(k) matching. Position may include varied shifts and locations, with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Access and update information using handheld scanners for receiving and order processing.
• Maintain housekeeping and report defects or needed repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.

What You Will Do

• Safely perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Utilizing order pickers, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts.
• Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment.
• Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
• Perform housekeeping functions as required and reports defects and need for repairs.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

• Agility: Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually, walk approximately 10 to 12 miles per day, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively and consistently, throughout your shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be comfortable working on equipment at heights up to 30 feet in the air.

• Starting wage is $20.96/hour plus $1/hour shift differential for third shift.
• Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half (some may be mandatory).
• Double time on the second worked day outside of the employee’s regular workweek schedule.

What to Expect After Applying: Candidates that meet the qualifications will receive a call from our talent acquisition team to talk through your qualifications and answer questions you may have. Shifts

Actual shift availability varies week by week. Successful candidates will be started as soon as a position becomes available on their requested shift. Please note that this could mean a sizeable waiting period before starting.

AWS: Saturday through Tuesday, 6am to 4pm
