Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Materials Planner to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, plan production needs, and execute on departmental operations with autonomy under established policies. The role supports internal quality, engineering, and sourcing teams and may lead small projects.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience or a high school diploma with 6 years in sourcing or material planning. Strong communication and project management are valued.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.

• Place purchase orders and manage on-time delivery by working with suppliers to meet required delivery dates.
• Collaborate across several functions to support internal quality, engineering, accounts payable and strategic sourcing teams. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
• Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
• Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
