Job summary

CandyCo is seeking a Material Requisition Coordinator to manage material requests, verify arrivals, and coordinate transfers within IMS. You will partner with cross-functional teams to maintain precise records and ensure production readiness.

The role requires a safety-focused mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to train others on processes and systems. On-site position with potential night or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have an excellent Safety record and champion a Safety culture.
• Minimum of 2-years’ experience in material handling.
• Must be a positive leader, with strong communication, and organization skills.
• Must have strong PC skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity.
• Able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis.
• Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, positive personal demeanor and the ability to exercise good judgement.
• SAP, ROSS, PLEX, ERP or other IMS environment skills and abilities a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Material requests and accurate accounts of records.
• Work cross functionally with all teams to build robust process.
• Perform trainings for employees including New Hire Orientation, Submitting returns, Scanning materials into IMS, Audits – SQF.
• Adheres to FIFO, FEFO, HOLDS, and Expiry of materials.
• Review schedule 48 hours in advance and build 48-hour plan.
• Verify materials have arrived for production for the next shift.
• Inventory materials on hand and ensure only 4 hours of materials on the floor at a time.
• Model and support the CandyCo Safety Culture and strive for 100% safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Material Requisition Coordinator is responsible for sending out material requests, monitoring all material requests and returns, verification of materials, and making accurate transfers in the system.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Material requests and accurate accounts of records
• Work cross functionally with all teams to build robust process
• Perform trainings for employees including:
  • New Hire Orientation
  • Submitting returns
  • Scanning materials into IMS
  • Audits – SQF, etc. and document all trainings
• Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to FIFO, FEFO, HOLDS, and Expiry of materials
• Review schedule 48 hours in advance and build 48-hour plan
• Verify materials have arrived for production for the next shift
• Inventory materials on hand and ensure only 4 hours of materials on the floor at a time

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work any and all shifts as directed.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Must wear non-slip, safety-resistant work shoes.
• Participation in mandatory pre-shift stretches and exercises.
• Proper use of required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets (if needed), and safety gloves.
• Must wear all required PPE when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection.
• Physical ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walk around the facility, lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, reach, kneel, crawl, and twist.
• Must possess the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates and others using professional etiquette.

• This position has no direct reports and reports to the Shift Production Manager
