Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a program management professional to lead defense-related supply chain activities. You will liaise between Supply Chain and program IPTs, shape material strategies, manage supplier performance, and ensure IPDP compliance with DoD requirements.

You will act as CAM, develop forecasts, and support capture efforts while coordinating with production, procurement, and supplier engineering. US citizenship and DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in a program/project management role, finance and/or supplier management position.
  • Typically requires a university degree and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
  • Obtain MPM certification within 1 year of accepting this role
  • Experience within an automated Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system preferred
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) preferred
  • Experience working with FAR/DFAR Regulations preferred
  • Domestic travel up to 20% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between Supply Chain and program IPTs.
  • Create, manage, and execute material program strategy and plan.
  • Provide supply chain support for Gates activities and ensure IPDP compliance.
  • Own supplier management processes, including supplier risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, metrics, and international issues.
  • Lead assigned program supply chain activities
  • Advise Supply Chain Management and Program Management Office leadership on material strategies and plans.
  • Prepare and present regular Program Performance Reviews.
  • Develop and support Supply Chain proposal activities, including task descriptions and basis of estimates supporting price-to-win targets.
  • Act as Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Identify and secure supply chain resources supporting capture plans
  • Establish Material Sales Forecasts
  • Execute make/buy/where process
  • Coordinate with production control, operations, procurement, and supplier engineering to align requisitions, purchase orders, and deliveries with program demand
  • Provide monthly forecasting/reporting and measure ETC/VAC to AOP
  • Identify and mitigate program risks
  • Support weekly supplier meetings
