Job summary
Carrier is seeking a Sr Aftermarket Material Planner to lead the internal supply planning team for aftermarket modifications, retrofits, and upgrades. You will balance cost, lead time, and availability while coordinating with engineering, procurement, and production to translate requirements into actionable material plans.
The role requires strong experience in material planning or supply chain management, exceptional analytical abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years in material planning or supply chain
- Associate’s Degree with 5+ years in material planning or supply chain
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years in material planning or supply chain
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute material planning strategies for aftermarket upgrades
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, procurement, and production to translate upgrade requirements into actionable material plans
- Forecast and manage long-lead and critical-path components to ensure on-time delivery for upgrade events
- Optimize inventory levels for upgrade kits and modification packages, leveraging ERP systems to maintain accuracy
- Partner with suppliers to secure capacity, negotiate delivery schedules, and mitigate supply risks for specialized or obsolete parts
- Monitor project milestones and proactively adjust material plans for engineering changes or schedule shifts
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline aftermarket material flows, reduce excess inventory, and improve on-time delivery

The HVAC Aftermarket Team is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr Aftermarket Material Planner to join our HVAC Planning team. The Sr Aftermarket Material Planner is responsible for leading the internal supply planning team which focuses on both the material planning and procurement activities and works to ensure the seamless flow of materials to meet customer demand. This person must have a strong background in supply chain management, experience defining material planning and inventory strategies, the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively, and strong people leadership skills. - High School Diploma/GED with 8+ Years of Experience in material planning or supply chain management OR Associate’s Degree with 5+ Years of Experience in material planning or supply chain management OR Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ Years of experience in material planning or supply chain management
- Master’s Degree or MBA
- Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar
- Strong experience with Power BI, Excell and Microsoft 365
- Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
- Experience with international sourcing and procurement
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
