Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking an entry-level Material Planner I to ensure materials for production are available on time and in the right quantity. The role combines analytical skills, inventory management, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems to support manufacturing.

You will plan and schedule procurement, collaborate across functions, analyze demand data, and present reports on material planning and inventory performance to management.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Typically entry‑level position with 0–2 years of experience.
• Exposure to Purchasing Best Practices and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems for data analysis, reporting, and decision support.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Certification: APICS.
• Experience with SQL, Python, R, MS Project, Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience with SAP.

About the Role

The Material Planner I at Sierra Space ensures that materials required for production are available at the right time and in the right quantity. This entry‑level position combines analytical skills, inventory management knowledge, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems to support the manufacturing process.

Compensation

Pay Range: $60,773.00 – $83,561.75

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
