Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a Material Planner in Shepherdsville, KY to coordinate material planning activities and ensure material availability for production. You will drive inventory efficiency, monitor MRP messages, and support continuous improvement in the materials team.

The role requires experience in materials planning, strong data analysis, and proficiency with MRP systems and Excel. On-site work with standard schedules and a focus on safety and collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in materials planning or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and data interpretation.
• Proficiency in MRP systems.
• Excel proficiency and ability to analyze data with advanced functions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Experience with lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and continuous improvement.
• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials to point of use by required date.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and reject requirements.
• Perform materials requirements planning (MRP) and monitor OAS.
• Drive continuous improvement and deploy policies and tools.
• Meet materials measurements and reporting requirements.
• Provide excellent internal customer service and cross-functional support.
• Assist manufacturing leadership with daily tasks in the area.
• Maintain a safe work environment per policies.
