Job summary

New York Air Brake, part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, is seeking a Material Requirements Planner/Production planner in Springfield, MO. You will manage MRP, S&OP schedules and production KPIs, coordinating with Sales and Demand Planning to fulfill orders while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and lead the MRP/Production strategy to meet S&OP schedule and customer orders.
• Lead on-time customer order and supplier delivery KPIs while meeting inventory turns targets.
• Maintain production schedules, floor stock, and WIP transactions; manage ECN and kanban cycles.
• Provide management with MPS/MRP metrics and report delays or issues.
• Participate in Lean Daily Management and Knorr-Bremse Production System projects.
• Ensure smooth production flow, optimize cost, quality, and productivity for non-exempt workforce.
• Interact daily with Sales/Demand Planning for order fulfillment.
• Assist colleagues and perform additional duties as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop, maintain, and lead the Material Requirements Plan (MRP)/Production strategy to meet the S&OP Production Schedule and customer orders for manufactured material.


• 2. Responsible for leading the on time customer order and supplier delivery fulfillment KPI's, while meeting inventory turns rate targets using Supply Chain Excellence policies (SCE).


• 3. Maintain systems daily, including but not limited to, production schedules, floor stock and WIP (work-in-progress) inventory transactions, scrap transactions, ECN management, COGI errors, and kanban/control cycles.


• 4. Provide management with measurements that accurately define our position to the MPS (Master Production Schedule) and MRP (material resource planning). This includes reporting past due hours, anticipated delays, and tooling or support problems.


• 5. Participate in Lean Daily Management (LDM) and continuous improvement projects using Knorr-Bremse Production System (KPS) and SCE techniques and policies.


• 6. Ensure a smooth flow of production that optimizes cost, quality, schedule adherence, and productivity of the non-exempt workforce.


• 7. Daily interaction with Sales/Demand Planning departments for Customer order fulfillment.


• 8. Provide support and assistance to other colleagues, as directed, and any other duties as requested.

Technical Expertise

• Global knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems, modules, including module-interfacing.


• SAP system knowledge strongly preferred with detailed understanding of shop floor control, CRP, MPS, and MRP modules.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Springfield is $65,100–$97,700 per year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. NYAB is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies. Employees working on federal contracts covered by the Federal Paid Sick Leave requirements will be notified and will receive benefits consistent and compliant with the FPSL requirements. Hired applicant will be able to purchase company stock, subject to the relevant plan documents and annual bonuses based on achievement of certain metrics of up to 4% of annual salary.
