Job summary

SelectTech Services Corporation is seeking a Material Planner to coordinate material flow, maintain BOMs, and align plans with production schedules to meet customer commitments.

You will partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Program Managers to optimize inventory, lead times, and data accuracy, leveraging Deltek Costpoint and ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Deltek Costpoint or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintaining revision control.
  • Working knowledge of master production planning concepts and processes.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, lead times, and inventory control principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as they apply to supplier management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to qualify for and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and enforce revision control within Deltek Costpoint to support reliable production execution.
  • Create, manage, and release sales orders, manufacturing orders, and purchase requisitions/POs to enable timely production starts and customer deliveries.
  • Plan and allocate raw materials and finished goods to support manufacturing priorities while balancing inventory levels, lead times, and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material availability to proactively prevent shortages, excess inventory, and schedule disruptions.
  • Support firm planned, released, and in-process manufacturing orders to ensure smooth production flow and rapid execution.
  • Identify material constraints, supplier risks, and scheduling conflicts, driving timely resolution to minimize impact.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Program Managers to align material plans with production requirements and customer demand.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve production and supply chain schedules that support efficient order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
  • Ensure accurate and timely planning of orders and deliveries to meet customer expectations and operational goals.
  • Utilize Deltek Costpoint to plan, analyze, and control inventory, production, and procurement activities while maintaining data integrity and planning discipline.

Job description

The Material Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling material flow to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Program Managers to ensure materials are available when needed, data is accurate, and plans are purposefully aligned to business objectives. The Material Planner is expected to Deploy Faster by enabling production readiness, Operate with Confidence through disciplined planning and system accuracy, and Design with Purpose by aligning material strategies to customer and operational needs.

What You'll Be Doing
