Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Material Inventory Clerk in Bedford, IN. You will support inventory management, track deliveries, and maintain records using MS Excel and logistics software.

This is a growth position within a Fortune 500 logistics company, offering training and opportunities for advancement. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills are essential. This role operates on a 10pm–6am shift, Sunday through Friday, with possible Saturday work based

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year or more administrative experience preferred.
• Five years or more relevant experience strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manage part deliveries, including scheduling, adjusting deliveries, and canceling deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficiency.
• React to critical inventory shortages with recovery transportation plan.
• Input data into a computer system.
• Read Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and use logistics management software.
• Communicate via phone, email, and handheld radio transceiver with suppliers and Ryder personnel.

• 10pm - 6am Sunday - Friday (some Saturdays depending on customer needs)

Summary

The Material Inventory Clerk is an entry-level inventory management role. Looking for a candidate with strong critical thinking skills and who works well with other people. No prior experience is required; all necessary training is provided. This is a growth position that could lead to many other opportunities at Ryder.

Compensation Information
