Job summary

Mullins Mechanical is seeking an experienced Material Expeditor to join our team. Our projects span industrial and large commercial mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC construction in facilities such as manufacturing plants, automotive plants, chemical plants, distribution centers, warehouses, and data centers.

Responsibilities include handling pipe materials, HVAC and sheet metal parts, and general construction materials, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Familiar with common manual and power tools and equipment.
• Flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Handle various pipe types and piping components on site.
• Assist with selection and provisioning of HVAC and sheet metal parts.
• Coordinate with equipment operators using hand signals and directions.
• Support material handling and jobsite safety protocols.
• Assist on material storage, installation, and housekeeping.

We are a self-performing specialty contractor specializing in design-build applications, HVAC systems, plumbing, process piping systems, boiler and chiller systems, equipment installation and rigging, plant relocation and maintenance, and metal fabrication.

We are looking for an experienced Material Expeditor to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Different types of pipe and pipe materials
• Pipe fittings and piping components
• HVAC and sheet metal parts
• Pipe and equipment support materials and different types of supports
• Unistrut and miscellaneous support materials
• Bolts, nuts, washers, and other common hardware
• General construction materials and fittings
• Previous construction experience required.
• Experience handling construction materials.
• Experience spotting for equipment operators.
• General knowledge of construction materials and how they are used.
• Good understanding of jobsite safety and construction operations.
• Able to understand and use equipment operator hand signals.
• Able to follow directions and work well with others.
• Reliable and willing to help wherever needed on the jobsite.
• Must have a strong focus on working safely.
