Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation, part of the Kuraray Group, invites applications for a Material Handling Technician at the Crosby Plant in Crosby, TX. This role focuses on moving raw and by-product materials, recovering usable materials, and packaging finished products while maintaining a clean plant environment.

The position requires safety mindfulness, accurate record-keeping, and ability to operate with SAP PM and other tools.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of warehouse experience is required.
• 1-3 years of warehouse experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Less than high school education is required.

Responsibilities

• Attends regularly scheduled Safety meetings and implements all CCC and OSHA safe work practices.
• Conducts monthly safety observations.
• Maintaining complete and accurate records of waste recovery operations and inventory, as required.
• Verifies and calibrates various production and in-process testing equipment.
• Responsible for monitoring warehouse inventories and carbon locations and insuring they are accurate.
• Responsible for handling by-product and blending operations according to established manufacturing procedures.
• Able to use desktop computer and familiarity with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP PM.
• Responsible for obtaining proper material samples as needed and performing specified in-process testing or submitting samples to the lab for testing.
• Responsible for Plant material handling and conveying, unloading of spent carbon trucks, packaging of final product and loading of trucks with final product.

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hrs / Wk

The Material Handling Technician is primarily responsible for the movement of raw and by-product materials and for the recovery of useable materials in the manufacture of activated carbon. The Material Handling Technician is responsible for the packaging and shipping of product material produced at the plant. Maintains a neat and orderly Plant. The Material Handling Technician reports to the Warehouse Manager. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
