Job description

Description

Team Lead to provide on-site operational leadership supporting federal records operations in Perris, CA. The Team Lead will provide day-to-day oversight of contractor personnel performing high-volume federal records storage, retrieval, refiling, disposition, transfer, scanning, and related records-processing activities. The Team Lead will assign and monitor work, reinforce agency procedures, track productivity and quality, provide employee guidance and training, support records accountability, and help ensure that services are performed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This is a hands-on front-line leadership position well suited to an experienced warehouse, records, logistics, document-processing, or production professional ready to take responsibility for both people and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily on-site leadership and technical oversight to contractor personnel performing Federal Records Center operations.
  • Assign daily work and balance personnel across records retrieval, refiling, transfers, disposition, scanning, and other assigned activities based on Government priorities and workload.
  • Monitor employee productivity, accuracy, attendance, and work quality and take timely action when performance falls below established requirements.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance, coaching, and training to employees on proper procedures, records-handling requirements, work methods, quality standards, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor records-processing activities to ensure proper records accountability, chain of custody, document order, tracking, and handling throughout each assigned workflow.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and identify and correct errors before completed work reaches subsequent QC or Government review. The proposed operating approach specifically uses Team Lead spot checks to identify placement and processing errors during execution.
  • Track and review daily production information, completed batches, workload status, exceptions, and other operational data needed to support contract performance reporting.
  • Identify missing records, discrepancies, unresolved requests, workflow bottlenecks, equipment issues, or other conditions affecting performance and resolve or elevate them through the appropriate management chain.
  • Reinforce site-specific safety requirements, proper use of material-handling equipment, security requirements, employee conduct standards, and applicable federal policies and procedures.
  • Support implementation of new or revised federal procedures and ensure assigned employees understand changes affecting their work.
  • Coordinate with LAC Federal management and federal site personnel regarding daily priorities, workload status, production issues, and operational requirements.
  • Help maintain a professional, productive workplace focused on records integrity, accuracy, productivity, safety, accountability, and customer service.
Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required facility access/badging and successfully complete required Government training.
  • Ability to work full-time, on-site and meet the physical requirements associated with an active records-storage/warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in a warehouse, records center, archives, logistics, distribution, scanning, document-processing, or production environment.
  • Previous Team Lead, shift lead, crew lead, or supervisory experience in a high-volume operation.
