Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a safety-conscious operator to safely receive, inspect, transfer, and manage hazardous waste materials and alternative fuels in a compliant facility environment.

You will operate material handling equipment, perform inspections, and maintain accurate documentation while supporting continuous improvement and teamwork in a demanding industrial setting.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Safely receive, inspect, transfer, and manage hazardous waste materials and alternative fuels in compliance with environmental and safety requirements.
  • Operate equipment used for material handling, storage, loading, unloading, and processing activities.
  • Perform routine inspections, sampling, and monitoring to support efficient and compliant facility operations.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, manifests, and documentation related to hazardous waste handling and fuel management.
  • Proactively identify and address safety, environmental, and operational concerns while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a hazardous waste handling and fuel processing facility with exposure to industrial equipment, moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times when performing designated tasks. Position requires standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and working in industrial environments, including elevated areas and confined spaces as trained and authorized. Schedule may include overtime, weekends, and other hours as needed to support operational requirements.
