Job summary

Hana Enterprises, Inc. is recruiting for a Material Handling Laborer to join our team in Hawaii. The role involves loading/unloading furnishings and appliances, receiving items, and assisting with deliveries and repairs for DoD and related clients.

The position offers an hourly wage of $20.83, plus $5.55 Health and Welfare. A $250 sign-on bonus is payable after 90 days of employment, with required DoD background investigation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years specialized experience in DoD preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of standard warehouse loading and storage techniques required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted is required.
• Ability to pass DoD background investigation required.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading and delivery of furnishings and appliances to customers.
• Receive furnishings into an organization and verify against service orders for delivery accuracy.
• Responsible for inventory shipments and noting discrepancies.
• Route furnishings to storage locations.
• Assist Appliance Technician in repairs and delivery.
• Operate material moving equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies).
• Participate in weekly forklift maintenance.
• Clean and repair furnishings.
• Unload furniture/appliances from shipping containers.
• Support customer service and field teams as needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities

The Material Handling Laborer is responsible for performing physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.

• Loading, unloading and delivery of furnishings and appliances to customers


• Receive furnishings into an organization and verify furnishings against service orders to ensure the accuracy of the delivery


• Responsible for the inventory shipments and notating any discrepancies


• Routing furnishings to storage location


• Assisting Appliance Technician in repairs and delivery


• Workers may use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring furnishings to an appropriate location


• Assisting in weekly forklift maintenance


• Cleaning and repairing furnishings


• Unloading furniture/appliances from shipping containers


• Ability to lift 75 Pounds


• Strong Customer Service Skills


• Required to perform inventory of property.
