Job summary

OPW Fueling Components, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and load shipments, document freight characteristics, and maintain accurate inventory. You will operate material handling equipment, unload and load trailers, and ensure safety and efficiency on the warehouse floor.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly (75 pounds with assistance). Forklift and scan gun experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work overtime hours during the week and on weekends as needed by business.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment as required.
• Must be willing and able to operate and maintain material handling equipment certification after training.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently, 75 lbs periodically with assistance.
• Must be able to sit/walk/stand up to 10 hours and be involved with shipping activities on the warehouse floor.
• Must be able to bend, push, pull and kneel.
• Must be able to work in weather extremes.
• Must wear required PPE.
• Self-directed with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and solid decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and load products for shipment and document shipment freight characteristics.

• Operate material handling equipment and reposition trailers as needed.
• Process packages through carriers' systems (FedEx, UPS).
• Perform audits and verify shipping accuracy to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Maintain and consolidate inventory; utilize Kanban systems.
• Use electronic shipping equipment such as scan guns and strapping machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Accurately pick and pack and load products for shipment while performing the tasks safely and efficiently.
• Accurately document shipment freight characteristics and complete forms.
• Adhere to process while performing tasks.
• Unload and load trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform material handling tasks using powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Reposition trailers using material handling equipment.
• Process packages through parcel shipping carriers' systems such as FEDEX and UPS.
• Perform audits and verifying shipping accuracy to maintain highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
• Consolidate inventory as needed.
• Accurately utilize Kanban systems.
• Utilize electronic shipping equipment such as scan guns, and strapping machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference for candidates with prior forklift experience.
• Preference for prior experience using computer as well as scan guns.
