Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Sit Down Forklift Operator in Wilmington, Illinois. Join a team focused on safety and efficiency in a clean, well-run facility.

You will operate electric sit-down forklifts, RF scanners and reach trucks, handling food products. Base pay starts at $21.00 per hour with a 3% raise after 1 year and $4 shift differential for D shift; weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping and forklift operation.
• Maintain accuracy in picking, packing, and loading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in warehouse operations (picking sheets, bills of lading).
• Provide basic maintenance support for automated packing systems during shifts.
• Adhere to safety and performance guidelines of the contract.

Up to $25.00 per hour (including shift differentials)

• Base pay: $21.00 per hour

• D: Thursday-Saturday 5:00 pm - 4:30 am, Wednesday 11:00 pm - 4:45 am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
