Job summary

Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is seeking Material Handlers to support warehouse and delivery operations, moving and storing building materials, and assisting drivers. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficiency in indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading at job sites and warehouses, guiding equipment operators, organizing inventory, and maintaining clean work areas. Prior forklift experience is a plus; training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with building materials (e.g., drywall, insulation, steel framing) is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with loading and unloading construction materials at job sites and warehouse locations.
• Guide equipment operators using verbal communication or hand signals when visibility is limited.
• Move, push, or pull materials into proper placement at delivery locations.
• Remove materials from delivery equipment and transport them as directed by drivers or site personnel.
• Help secure loads for transport to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas at job sites and during deliveries.
• Receive, sort, and store materials in racks, shelves, or bins based on designated systems.
• Pull and prepare materials according to customer orders, transfers, and delivery schedules.
• Load materials onto trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed.
• Maintain overall warehouse organization, ensuring materials are properly stored and aisles remain clean and accessible.
