Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Arlington, TX is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to pull orders from inventory, deliver materials, stage and load finished goods, and support production by maintaining clean, stocked work areas.

You will operate a sit-down forklift, transfer coils and sheets, load/unload shipments, count and report inventory, and ensure safety standards while complying with company policies. Flexibility for overtime and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift to support production and shipping.
• Pull/transfer coils and sheets; package per order specifications.
• Load/unload shipments; palletize and log pallets.
• Count, record, and report inventory levels as required.
• Report defective or substandard materials.
• Maintain professional conduct with customers and freight personnel.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment and secure products.
• Document shipments by recording units shipped/received.
• Perform pre-use inspections and report equipment deficiencies.
• Identify, label, and store inventory in correct locations.
• Deliver materials to work centers and maintain in-process inventory.
• Locate materials listed on production orders for availability.
• Be flexible to accommodate overtime and changing organizational needs.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, staging, and loading finished product. Perform general duties including handling all incoming and outgoing inventory for manufacturing, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving material. Ensure all production areas are clear, stocked, and ready to fulfill orders.

Job Duties

• 1. Operate sit-down forklift as required to support manufacturing
• 2. Pull/transfer coils and sheets and complete appropriate packaging per the specifications of each order
• 3. Load and unload will-call customers, LTL vans and flatbed trucks with forklift (includes palleted coils & sheets, load customer equipment and maintain / log all shipments)
• 4. Count, record, and report inventory as required including but not limited to sheet, coil, and accessories
• 5. Report defective or substandard material, supplies or products
• 6. Represent the Company professionally in all daily interactions with customers, freight personnel and other employees
• 7. Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product
• 8. Document product shipments by recording or verifying units shipped or received as required
• 9. Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and reporting any deficiencies found
• 10. Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory
• 11. Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials and supplies
• 12. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
• 13. Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as required
• 14. Comply with all safety rules and regulations
