Job summary

Acme Industries in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving Associate to keep production moving and ensure precision in every shipment. You will move materials, receive incoming goods, and prepare outbound orders for aerospace and defense components.

You will operate forklifts and overhead cranes, stage materials for production, and maintain inventory accuracy. A high school diploma and hands-on material handling experience are required, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Manufacturing material handling experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle larger materials using equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, WIP, and finished components throughout the facility.
• Receive and verify incoming materials; stage and stage outbound shipments.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and material tracking.
• Move shipments and material through the ERP system and coordinate with carriers and internal teams.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas; follow safety procedures.
