Job summary

KPS Global is seeking a Material Handler in San Dimas, California, to move, load, and unload materials under supervision, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met for customer requirements.

You will operate hand trucks and hoists, assemble shipping containers, inspect products, and maintain accurate records while keeping a clean 5S workplace and using PPE as required.

Qualifications

• GED or HS Diploma required or preferred.
• Basic math and reading comprehension are required.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required material handling equipment.
• Must be able to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the workday.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to climb and balance.
• Must be able to use hands to reach, handle, and/or feel.
• Must have manual dexterity in hands for tool usage.
• Must be able to visually inspect products.
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
• Must be able to wear all required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in accordance with Quality and Safety Management System.
• Utilize hand trucks, hoists, and other equipment to move materials.
• Operate hand tools including electrical and pneumatic tools.
• Construct shipping containers and prepare products for shipment.
• Inspect products to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Complete and maintain accurate electronic records and shipping paperwork.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards.
