Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies seeks a Senior Material Handler in San Diego for a 6-month contract. The role includes assisting in warehouse picking, generating material requests, and supporting forklift operations for stocking and order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in material handling/warehousing, strong computer skills (Oracle/AIMS/MRW/Microsoft Office), and excellent communication. Forklift certification is preferred; ability to work 8+ hour shifts required.

Duration: 6 Months

Overview/Job Summary:

Position will assist with warehouse job picking. Generate/fill material requests for various programs and external customers. Support forklift operations for order picking and put away/stocking efforts.

Responsibilities:

Major duties include material handling of warehouse inventory, forklift operations, stocking and pulling material, packing, and boxing devices, transferring items physically and systematically, and performing transactions within automated computer systems. Requires the ability to remain focused under stress in a highly dynamic area and perform all functions with 100% accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate must have 2-3 years material handling/warehousing experience along with high level computer experience, detail oriented and organized. This position includes using software such as Oracle, AIMS, MRW. Position requires knowledge of Microsoft Office, the ability to multi-task and to remain calm under extreme pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. Forklift experience / previous forklift certification / use of hand trucks, pickers, and the like.

Min Qualifications:

High School Diploma plus good driving record. 2-3 years material handling experience along with high level computer experience, detail oriented and organized. Previous experience in either shipping, receiving, or warehousing. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under extreme pressure. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to sit or stand for 8+ hours per day. Ability to use hands and fingers (manual dexterity). Possess good eyesight, both near and far. Must be able to lift to 25-50 lbs occasionally and have previous forklift experience.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma plus good driving record. Computer skills associated with Material Warehousing, Receiving and/or Shipping.

Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills are necessary.

Previous experience in either shipping, receiving or inventory control/warehousing.
