Job summary

Latitude Corp. is seeking a Material Handler to join our 100% employee-owned team. The second shift runs Monday through Thursday, 2pm to 12:30am, with full-time hours and opportunities to contribute to precision metal manufacturing.

You will handle materials, operate a forklift, inspect inbound materials, and support production in a clean, climate-controlled facility serving US military and defense customers. We value problem solvers and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Forklift license certification required to maintain employment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform basic measurements.
  • Strong math, data entry, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle materials and organize parts, raw materials, and supplies.
  • Operate forklift and conduct local deliveries as trained.
  • Adhere to AS9100 quality system procedures and maintain MES data.
  • Audit incoming materials and stage for inspection; deliver to stock or production areas.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist in inventory processes.

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team.

Second Shift: Monday - Thursday (2pm - 12:30am)

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Physical - capable of lifting 40 lbs. safely with/or without assistance. Capability of standing and bending over for long periods of time while performing manual labor with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must maintain certification of company Forklift license to maintain employment.
  • Must be able to inspect raw material to company standards or customer standards.
  • Must have valid Wisconsin Driver's license with appropriate classifications and meet DOT minimum requirements.
  • Working Hours - full-time (40 hours)
  • Personal Traits - Good communication skills with positive teamwork attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow direction and or work independently, able to multi-task and trouble shoot. Punctuality and safe work habits.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for material handling, organization of parts, raw materials, dunnage and supplies. Timely completion of job functions. Adhere to AS9100 quality systems. Authority to drive company forklift and complete local deliveries in van or straight truck, once trained and approved. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements.

  • Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done.
  • Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing above.
  • Ensure AS 9100 quality system procedures are followed.
  • Ensure cross departmental communication is accurate and effective.
  • Complete tasks independently.
  • Follow and execute instructions on job travelers and control plan per company procedures.
  • Notify lead or supervisor of discrepant materials.
  • Possess good forklift driving skills.
  • Audit incoming materials, unload deliveries, stage for inspection, deliver to stock locations, deliver to production areas or work stations as needed.
  • Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
  • Maintain neat and clean work areas and assist with daily clean up duties
  • Assist in inventory process as assigned
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Willingness and ability to fill production roles with training.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Forklift driving experience.
  • Ability to differentiate between materials (Type and Classification).
  • Possess basic math skills including ability to read and use tape measure and caliper to the fraction and decimal.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Possess good reading, writing, and typing skills.
  • Ability to input and maintain data on written logs and input into multiple software programs.
  • Ability to fill in for various production roles as needed
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent. 3 years of experience with safe operation of Forklifts and Overhead Crane, Loading and unloading Trucks, Semi-trailers and machines. Manufacturing shop experience preferred
