Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is hiring for a warehouse-focused role in the United States. You will pick and move materials, operate forklifts, and support production needs while maintaining safety and efficiency on the floor.

You will work with ERP systems, follow 6S and cGMP standards, and adapt to shift changes. The position offers comprehensive benefits and on-site teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Basic English written and oral communication to interact with team members and vendors.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
  • PIT certification or ability to obtain it.
  • Hazmat training may be required.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Previous forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Pick raw materials and production supplies from warehouse by hand or forklift and deliver to designated area.
  • Transport materials and empty containers between production areas and warehouse.
  • Use ERP system (GME) to access and update inventory locations and other systems.
  • Receive IPSO orders and prepare for shipment.
  • Secure trailers during loading.
  • Load materials into trailers and box trucks.
  • Pre-Op forklift and change batteries as needed.
  • Notify supervisor of safety/quality issues and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area following 6S principles.
  • Understand and apply SOPs and cGMP requirements.

You'll be offered extensive training, and the tight-knit working environment within the Manufacturing team means employees get additional training from their direct manager and peers when needed.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Pick raw materials and production supplies from warehouse either by hand, forklift or other means and deliver to the designated area
  • By schedule or upon request, pick up materials or empty containers from production areas and transport to the warehouse or other department
  • Using the Enterprise Resource Planning software (GME) to access and update inventory locations if necessary, along with utilize multiple other software systems to execute daily and weekly tasks
  • Receives IPSO (Inter-Plant Shipping Orders) and prepares them for shipment
  • Secure trailer while loading by blocking and locking out
  • Load raw materials and production supplies into trailers and box trucks
  • Pre-Op the forklift and change out batteries (if required)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

What You'll Bring

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members and external vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
  • Possess or be able to obtain Powered Industrial Truck Certification
  • May be required to obtain Hazmat Training if not already completed
  • Moderate computer skills required.
  • Previous experience with a forklift
  • CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver level, preferred
  • A high level of detail orientation and organizational skills to improve work area space

Physical Requirements
  • This position requires the continuous operation of a forklift. The position can also involve lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to pass the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) physical
  • Must be able to operate foot controls, bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance
