Job summary

M&M Manufacturing Company in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Material Handler – Receiving to manage the efficient handling and inspection of incoming materials. The role includes responsibilities for accurate shipments, organized inventory, and assisting the shipping department as needed.

Ideal candidates will have experience in warehouse operations and the ability to operate forklifts. A commitment to safety and teamwork is essential. The position follows a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm.

The Material Handler – Receiving is responsible for the efficient handling, inspection, and storage of incoming materials while supporting warehouse operations. This role ensures accuracy of inbound shipments, maintains organized inventory, and provides cross-functional support to the shipping department as needed to meet operational demands.

Schedule: 6am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Receiving Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and visible damage.
  • Unload trucks and move materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other approved material handling equipment.
  • Confirm materials are properly labeled, tagged, and placed in designated storage locations.
  • Accurately record receiving transactions and material movements in the appropriate ERP/WMS or inventory system.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged materials to supervision promptly.
Inventory & Warehouse Organization
  • Maintain organized receiving and storage areas to support safe operations and efficient material retrieval.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits as needed.
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring materials are moved, scanned, and stored in the correct locations.
  • Communicate material needs, inventory issues, or storage concerns to the appropriate supervisor or inventory control team.
Shipping Support as Needed
  • Assist the shipping team with picking, packing, staging, wrapping, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Load outbound shipments accurately and safely while following customer, carrier, and company requirements.
  • Support preparation and verification of shipping documentation, including packing slips, delivery receipts, and bills of lading when needed.
  • Partner with shipping, production, and customer service teams to support timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Equipment Operation & Safety
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and only as authorized or trained.
  • Complete equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns to supervision.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, PPE standards, traffic patterns, and housekeeping expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in accordance with 5S and company standards.
General Responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with receiving, shipping, production, inventory, and warehouse team members.
  • Support daily warehouse priorities and adjust work focus based on business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and operationally necessary.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as assigned.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, varying temperatures, moving equipment, and heavy machinery.
  • Overtime or weekend work may be required based on shipping, receiving, or operational needs.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing setting.
  • Regular interaction with receiving, shipping, production, inventory control, and supervision.
  • Requires compliance with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
