Job summary

Kimball International is seeking a detail-oriented associate to verify counts and inspect parts according to Shop Order Release specifications. The role requires safe handling, adherence to PPE, and accurate documentation in a busy production environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts for quantity and quality, maintaining orderly workspaces, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

• Follow job safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Able to interpret load cards, SOR or OMS directions.
• Lift parts from floor to operation level frequently.
• Use air driven hand tools and gauges to verify specs.
• Identify nonconformities and document them.

Responsibilities

• Verify counts per Shop Order Release (SOR) specifications.
• Inspect parts for quantities per SOR specifications.
• Inspect for obvious damage, color consistency and alignment or any other quality standards.
• Document necessary information.
• Keep work space and equipment clean and organized.
• Perform proper preventative maintenance as required on equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Identify nonconformities and follow nonconforming product procedures.
• Assist with process improvements.
• Support company policies and environmental management systems.
